A fine percussion target pistol of Liège manufacture, fitted with an attractive octagonal Damascus barrel bearing a Liège proof mark.

The pistol is equipped with an adjustable rear sight, allowing the shooter to regulate the sights for different shooting distances. The finely chequered grip terminates in a metal butt cap with a lanyard ring, which could secure the pistol against loss when carried, including potentially when mounted.

With its Damascus barrel, adjustable sights and refined construction, this is an attractive example of a quality 19th-century sporting or target pistol.
