An attractive Bavarian porcelain travel set by Johann Feltmann of Vohenstrauss, comprising a cup with matching saucers/plates and accompanied by a cased knife.

The porcelain is finely decorated in green and gold, with broad gilt borders and restrained geometric ornament. The pieces bear the Johann Feltmann, Vohenstrauss, Bavaria porcelain mark.

The accompanying knife is contained in a fitted green morocco leather sheath and bears silver marks. It appears stylistically older than the porcelain and may therefore have been associated with the set at a later date rather than originally supplied with it.

An elegant and unusual travelling set, preserved in very good condition.
