An original German Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse) from the First World War.

The obverse displays the crowned “W” for Kaiser Wilhelm II, the date 1914, and the Prussian crown above. The cross retains its characteristic blackened iron centre with contrasting metal frame and is accompanied by its black-and-white ribbon.

A well-preserved example of one of Imperial Germany’s best-known military decorations.
