A well-preserved German K98 bayonet, accompanied by its steel scabbard, leather frog and officer/NCO-style portepee.

The bayonet retains much of its original black finish and is in particularly clean condition, with no significant pitting visible. The dark grip scales and steel fittings likewise remain well preserved. The serial numbers of the bayonet and scabbard are non-matching.

The accompanying portepee adds considerably to the presentation of the set, although it should not necessarily be assumed to have been originally issued with this particular bayonet.
